Henefer is a town in Summit County, Utah and is part of the Salt Lake City Salt Lake City Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is located in the mountains of the Bear River Range along Interstate 84.

According to the United States Census Bureau of 2000, Henefer has a population of over 650 people. The town has a total area of 0.9 square miles with a population density of over 750 people per square mile. It is located at very high altitudes of over 5,300 feet above sea level.
